I am a novice when it comes to FrontPage. Recently I tried to do some
updates to a website for an organization that I belong to. I installed
FrontPage 2003 and attempted to publish the website to my local computer to
get started. Rather than publishing from remote to local I synchronized the
two sites. That’s when the problems began. Buttons (links) disappeared and
other problems have occurred. A friend of mine told me that by synchronizing
to an empty (newly created) folder I inadvertently overwrote the structure of
the site.
My question is this:
The last remaining (backup) copy of this site is on the previous webmaster’s
computer. How do I overwrite everything at the remote computer and put the
site back the way it was before I touched it? Is it as simple as publishing
from his ‘local computer’ to the remote? We have one shot to make this right
again.
Thanks in advance from a newbie!
