help help --- please!

windows xp loads, when i click user the page stats tp load then computer shuts down. i can get in safe mode but can not display my restore points, they are there just wont display. have norton system works, and it seem as though when its trying to load running programg the comp. shuts down and goes into reboot mode??? please hel

me the option to continue to safe mode or restore to a previous point.

See if this information helps:

Before you do all this though, can you boot in safe mode? Press Ctrl
+Alt + Del when windows is loading and choose safe mode, this will
load windows with a minimum of drivers. Try to undo any changes you
did prior to this happening (installing software or hardware)
