HELP HELP HELP YahooGroup WMV files

I'm a novice who needs help.

First what does wmv stand for.

It's suppose to be a video file on a Yahoo Group but
when I click it what I get back is "Invalid Data" and
then the starting page of Microsoft Plus Digital Media

Is there anything I can do about it

wmv= windows media video (file type)
The file you downloaded might be corrupted, or you need to actually stream
