This may be the wrong place to ask, but I am panicking. Our W2K server kept
rebooting today. Now I notice it comes up with the CtrDel window and then
after a while a little message with unknown hard error with OK the only
choice. Of course I have been very bad with my backups (I know, I know) but
HELP. Thanks Mon

It is the wrong place to ask. Open the Event Viewer (if you can't open it
locally, open it from another server or workstation) and note any entries of
interest, then grab a hardware or general discussion newsgroup for help in
diagnosing the problem(s).

Stop panicking and do this to save your data while you can:
1. Install the server disk as a slave disk in some Win2000/XP
PC.
2. Save all your data.
3. Make absolutely sure that you have saved ALL data.
4. Run chkdsk /F on the server disk.
5. Review your backup strategy.
