Help from MSI....

My question:

I would need some Drivers, Manual, BIOS, Memory and Hard Disk
recommendations for a MS6131 Ver 1.0 Motherboard. BIOS version is: Award
Modular BIOS v4.51PG W6131MJ v1.6 051799, BIOS ID string:
10/20/1998-i440BX-W977-2A69KM4DC-00
I looked into the Downloads section of your site, but couldn't find this
board listed.

Answer from MSI:

MS6131 is an OEM model. Please contact the vendor to download manual or
other information. There is only information for channel product in MSI
website. Sorry that we can't give a direct help here.

Who the hell builds them then?

MSI builds them.. Sells them to OEMs... who sell them to you. It is the
OEM< sellers responsibility to offer any and all support. That's why it's

cheaper than retail.

Now, most manufacturers still put into on their sites. I'm surprised if you
can't find that board anyplace on the MSI website.
 
thats the kind of generic motherboard used by companies like TINY and TIME
in their PCs. Ive attached a file for the manual that I think is okay -
you'll have to google for the various drivers.

Whoever was the person who attached a Manual to a non-binaries group and
ruined most of the messages in it...., can u send it to me by e-mail:
(e-mail address removed) (remove NO_JUNK).

For what?
Which operating system?
There is no driver needed for the core board, if it has
integrated video or sound, etc, look at what the chips are
on it and get driver from respective chipset manufacturer-
which is the better route even if MSI had any.

The other alternative is simply to browse MSI's website,
there's a few links here with pictures,

or Google for the other boards MSI made with 440BX chipset
and same (if not all) onboard features then check MSI"s
downloads section for this other board. That may get you
drivers but bios, don't change it unless necessary.

manual sent - just get the drivers for Sound, Graphics and Network - not
necessary to get IDE drivers and dont mess with the Bios.
