help formating issue

i got a 2gb flash card/drive
for my camera
i plug it in from my printer
for some reason it says its full when there is nothing on it.

what do i need to do to make the memory work?
is there a special way i need to format the thing or what?

I guess you mean a memory card?

Did you try formatting it in the camera?

Check the camera's manual...it should explain how.

With out details on the make / model of your printer, we can only give
you general details:

1) Some card readers in printers can only read media card.

2) Depending on the "age" of the printer, the card reader may not be
able to read that size of card.

3) As for formatting the card: most digital camera manufacturer's
state that the media card must be formatted within the camera, in
order to make sure the camera can use it. Most cameras will format
the media card with a FAT file structure and most XPs "seems" to try
to format the card NTFS.
