I am in need of some advice/help.
I have a laptop (Dell) that has Windows 95 on it.This laptop does NOT have a
CD Rom drive.
I have Windows 98 & 2000 on CD,HOW can I transfer either one onto floppys so
as I can install either.

You can't, I'm afraid. You'll need to obtain the CD Drive that fits
the laptop.

Three choices:

Either the suggestion by Bruce Chambers
OR
connect the laptop to a computer that does have a CD drive and transfer the
contents to your laptop hard drive (either through a network, or serial
cable, or whatever connection method you might have)
OR
remove the hard drive from your laptop, plug it into a 2.5" adapter
connector, and hook it up as a secondary drive in a desktop computer that
has a CD drive - then transfer the contents of the CD to the hard drive.

On the other hand, since the laptop doesn't have a CD drive, Windows 2000
Pro is likely a bad choice since the other system resources are unlikely to
be up to the job.

If you post more details about the laptop, you may get a recommendation on
whether moving to another operating system is worth the effort.

Thank you for the reply & suggestion.
The laptop is a Dell,Model PPS.
Seeing that I don't need it anymore thought that "if" a later operating
systemwas installed someone (a school person) may be able to use it.

The suggestion in relation to a serial cable looks good.

Can you explain to me (a lay person) just how that would transfer ?/

Before you try you may want to check with dell online support that drivers
etc are available for your chosen o/s
and the sys meets hw requirements

You did not give enough information on the laptop.

More helpful would be the CPU identification, amount of installed RAM, and
hard drive capacity.

At any rate, it doesn't seem to be worth the trouble of trying to installed
even Windows 98. The technical specifications I see in Google searches
indicate that the CPU is a Pentium Classic with a speed from 166 to 233 MHz,
the installed RAM is 64 to 128 MBytes, and the hard drive has a capacity of
a couple of GBytes.

Also, the Dell website offers no support.

Does the battery even work at this late date?

My recommendation is to donate it as is. A null modem cable is necessary to
transfer data from one computer to another via the serial ports.

Again I thank you for your reply.
Your last suggestion does seem to be the best.

Maybe a computer school ???
