I'm trying to set up network on 2 win2k machines via belkin wireless modem
router.

I have the main m/c working OK - ie I can connecto to internet - but
connection is to LAN connection on mainboard

I couldn't get 2nd machine to connect wirelessly so have temporarily
connected a cable to LAN input and can network both machines OK but I cannot
access the internet on 2nd machine.

If I try to adjust TCP/IP settings on 2nd m/c I get message saying "In order
to configure TCP/IP, you must install and enable a network adapter card."
Isn't that what the LAN adapter is ?

I'd be grateful for any advice on resolving this - or explaining what it
means

Regards

Scott

Your post is a bit confusing... So I will assume you are trying to connect
wirelessly to a WIN2000 box. If you have installed your wireless card then
ensure the wireless card and drivers have been installed properly (Check
device manager if possible). Then you need to use the wireless card's
configuration module (software) to set the wireless settings.

So open the wireless card's software and enter your SSID, encryption and so
on.
