Hello.

I have an ATI AIW 9800 Pro and some recorded video produced by MMC. I also
have some VHS tapes. All I want to do is edit out some commercials and burn
to DVD. Simple.

Every time I start thinking of doing this my eyes start to glaze over as I
am bombarded with all kinds of technical video jargon. While I am a
technical person I have no interest in becoming a doctorate in video theory
just to burn some DVDs.

Can someone please recommend a good software package that's easy to use and
produces excellent video quality?

Thank you,
Richard

VideoRedo is fantastic. It also tries to auto detect commercials
(usually marked by fade to black). If your commercials have this it
will make editing them out a snap (it will also have false positives -
any fade to black may be marked).

It is also very fast and ideally suited to this task.

Definitely try a demo of this.
