About a week ago, in a very instructive thread, several
of you gave me good answers as to your recommendations
about backing up XP Home (in case of complete system
failure).

After reading and comparing your remarks, I see that what
I want to do is make a "system snapshot," before I go
installing anything major.

"Ghost 2003" got several "votes" -- however, you also
noted that "...Ghost is now Symantec-owned, making it
harder to get help with."

So, could someone perhaps provide me with a mirror-site
or some pre-symantec distributor of Ghost 2003 so that I
can look at it and compare it to other image-makers?

Thanks.

As a person who has used several different imaging programs including most
versions of Ghost I highly recommend Acronis TrueImage as an alternative.

Thanks, Harry. In re-reading my notes, I see that Sharon
also recommended Acronis. I'll check that out.
