I have a problem with XP and I removed the hard drive and put it in a stand
alone case and hooked it into my Vista laptop.
OK
Where can find my address book ?? I found my Favorites and moved them to my
laptop to save for my Desktop after reinstalling XP in my desktop.

Search for "*.wab" in the "Documents and Settings" folder.

If you use Outlook Express, search for *.wab. Those are your Windows Address
Book files.

They are hidden files.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store Folder will reveal the location of
your Outlook Express files. Write the location down and navigate to it in
Windows Explorer or, copy and paste it into Start | Run.

In WinXP, Win2K & Win2K3, the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default
marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable
Show Hidden Files and Folders under Start | Control Panel | Folder Options
Icon | View, or in Windows Explorer | Tools | Folder Options | View.

Open the Address Book in the old identity and File | Export | Address Book
(wab) to any place on your HDD that is easy for you. The Desktop is fine.
Then, open the Address Book in the new identity and File | Import | Address
Book (wab) and point to where you saved it.

Perhaps Vista's Windows Mail utility has an Import function. Look under
File, Edit, and Tools for such a feature. It might also be necessary to
extract the files in the .csv format before W Mail will import it.
