Help files missing

When I click on Help and Support in the start menu, system information in the accessories section, and a few other areas...I get no response from my computer. Everything else seems to work ok..and I'm sure it used to work well when I first got it. Can someone please help? Is there somewhere I can go load these files? The cd I got from the manufacturer doesnt help...not like when I used to have '98 on my old computer. I've tried going through add/remove windows programs, but that isnt helping either. Any advice would be very much appreciated :)
 
Try this:

Start/run and type in: helpctr -regserver or to totally reinstall help and support,
assuming you installed to c:
make hidden folders visible first and then
c:\windows\inf\pchealth.inf right-click and choose install. You will need the XP cd

I tried the Kelly fixes and they didn't work for me, great web site though.
I had this problem and re-installed XP Pro yesterday (first installed this
week as Win 98se upgrade), help and support is now finally working. Right
after inititally installing XP Pro I had caught the Nachi virus.
