Help.. external hard disk not working

Hello people... hope someone is able to help this Dutch girl with
computer problems....

My external hard disk Trekstor is not recognised by my computer
anymore. When I want to open it, I get the message "The disk is not
formatted, do you want to format it now?'

I click 'no' and I can't see my data. It says there are 0 bytes used by
my Trekstor hard disk. I am very worried now. All of this happened
afther the energy was disconnected by accident.

What can I do to restore my data?

Try going to the device manager, and remove the drive. When the system
re-starts it should find it again. If this does not work, then it is
possible that the drive is defective.

thanks both of you. I tried recovery software which is running now. It
seems to work.
