HELP! error reporting

I am unable to open any windows, because every time I do, I get this
response: "Windows Explorer has encountered an error, and needs to close. We
are sorry for any inconvenience...would you like to send an error report"
This happens over and over again, making it impossible for me to do ANYTHING;
open web sites, etc.
any ideas? thanks.

If you can get online, send the error report-MicroSoft might have a fix for
you. You might need to download a program fix. If all else fails, save all
important data on portable devices (external drives, cd's, etc.) and repair
from your Windows disk.
