It's free and easy to use. The problem is it should be installed
BEFORE you try to undelete something. Installing after you
unintentionally erased a file opens the possibility that the install
will overwrite what you're trying to undelete. You'd need a more
complex program to do that - and a lot of skill.
Yes, it is quite possible to restore erased data using data recovery
