By purchasing a floppy drive. Might set you back five bucks. Most
motherboards still support them.

Hi,

You already used the upgrade, right? Vista overwrote Dell's custom
mbr/bootloader with its own code. This is why you cannot access the menu
anymore. Contact Dell for assistance in recovering access to the XP recovery
boot menu.

Go into the BIOs and tell it to boot off the CD-ROM drive. Is that what you
are asking?

No, he probably doesn't have the XP recovery CD.
Vendors like Dell and HP are no longer including those
with a new system.

Ms. Erin,
Do you have an XP CD? If you do, just make it so your boot cycle looks at
the CD-Rom drive and you can boot from the XP CD.

Respectfully,

Mr. Jonathan
