I've purchased a used Dell computer for my kids. I have been trying to clean
up the old data (make it G rated) while still saving the programs. I've been
successful except for removing old homepages. When I click on tools and try
to program in a new home page, a list of home pages from porn sites comes up.
How do I delete these? Please forward any adives to (e-mail address removed).
Thanks for the help

If you can't change the home page, the browser might have been hijacked. You
can solve that with Adaware and Spybot. If that isn't enough, try CWShredder
also.

As for addresses of old visited websites: clean the cache and the history
from IE, Tools, Internet Options. If any offending addresses are still
retained, start Regedit (Start, Run, REGEDT32), navigate to the key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs and delete
all you don't want in the right pane.

Kind regards

Hans
