Help deleting Registry Key

I recently installed a Program that runs as a Service on
W2K Pro which updates my Dymanic IP Address (assigned by
ISP) to a DNS Server that allows me to run a Web Server
from my PC. I used the following command to install as per
installation instructions:

C:\WINNT\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\installutil
c:\ServicesFolder\IpService.exe

The program was not working properly and I wanted to
remove it and reinstall it again so I uninstalled it
with the following command as instructed by program owner:

C:\WINNT\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\installutil
c:\ServicesFolder\IpService.exe /u

However, I ran Regedit.exe and found there is a Registry
Key that was not removed by the Uninstaller. When I try to
remove the Registry Key I get and Error Window indicating:

"Can not delete LEGACY_CME_DYNAMIC_IP_CLIENT: error while
deleting key".

I tried editing the Registry exported file and then
Importing but got an Error Window indicating:

"can not import the registry file.... not all data was
successfully written to the Registry. Some Keys are open
by the system or other processes".

I even tried setting up a new User with Administrator
privileges but the Registry Key is still there.

As a last resort, I booted the system with the last known
good configuration, but that did not do the trick either.

Can someone please tell me how I can delete that annoying
registry key without having to Reinstall W2K Pro.

Regards,

Omar

Use REGEDT32 instead of REGEDIT. Set Security on the
legacy_ key first, then delete it.
