Help! D drive missing!

Ok recently i was on the computer and i noticed that my d drive was
missing, i signed onto the internet to find a cure for my missing d
drive...but as soon as i was onto the internet it kicked me off. Now
when i try to sign into the internet a notice pops up and tells me i am
unable to connect ( i have dial up internet) I rebooted my computer from
a recent date when my computer did work...but that didnt work. A friend
of mine told me to completely restart my computer from nothing, but
like i said...my d drive doesnt work? Any ideas?

Did you run checkdisk and check for spyware and virus?
