There are some people I am working with who have just
purchased Access 2002. They have some old databases from
an earlier version of Access and seem to be unable to even
open them with Access 2002. What can I tell them?

Access 2002 will convert any database from Access 97 or later to either its
default format (Access 2000) or its current format. If the database won't
convert, it is either from an earlier version, which first needs converting
to Access 97, or it is corrupt and needs fixing before it is converted.
