Hi:

While tuning a windows 2000 box yesterday I uninstalled an old copy of
Cisco's VPN client. When I restarted the computer, the Windows DNE
(Deterministic Network Enhancer) driver no longer worked. As a result,
TCP/IP networking no longer works. Does anyone have any suggestions as
to how to get TCP/IP back? I've tried uninstalling and re-installing
drivers and NICs.

The box is an old P3 Micron, running Windows 2000 advanced server.
I've got backups of criticle data and most apps, but none of the system
state.

Thanks in advance.

You might try "lspfix" at:

It's not a "Windows" Deterministic Network Enhancer, it's the miniport
driver which makes the Cisco VPN tick.

Uninstall DNE from the connectoid's Properties.
