HELP CD DVD Drives stopped working (get an error 31)

Tried to install Nero 6 onto a 2000 Pro system. Now my CD
drives disappeared from my computer. Tried to reinstall
them after I deinstalled Nero software but now get "This
device is not working properly because Windows cannot load
the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)" I can't
goto the Widows 2000 CD becouse now I don't have one. HELP
 
Found it in Microsoft article 270008. Noticed I had
several folders in registry with same name. Is that a
problem?
 
See: MS2000 will not recognize CD-R/RW as CD drive.

Error Code 19. Hardware mgr has a yellow exclamation icon
on drive. What's up with yours?

Did you uninstall easy CD creator, when installing Nero?
