HELP! Can't open ppt XP file that used to work!!

I created a ppt XP show, saw it a couple of times in my pc, burned it to a CD and now neither of the presentation files can be opened in any pc!!! If the file is corrupted, as it seems, how can I restore it

I have to present it today in class!!

Did you save it to your hard drive and then use your CD burning software to
burn it to a CD? Or did you try to save it directly to a CD? If the
latter, do you still have a good copy on your hard drive?

I saved it on the hd and then burned it to a CD. But the file in the hd isn't good either
