Help-Can't install WP SP1 Ciritcal Security Update

Help is required. I can download the critical security
update WP SP1 (Express) but not able to install. Window
screen showed "Set up Wizard" - either back up your
system or close all open programs. I did both back up and
also tried archieve. Still unable to install this
critical security download especially now attacked by
MIME.gen.c virus and unable to remove it even got the
McAfee Antivirus softwares. The virus can be deleted but
not removed. This critical security patch should help
but when installation is carried out, all windows of IE
closed - A window screen said "Service Pack 1 Set Up
Error. SP 1 Set up Canceled."

I found some Hotfix SP1 and also one Hotfix SP2 in the
Add/Remove Program in the Control Panel. Is that
something related to the problem? Should I remove all
these Hotfix SP1 and SP2 but I am not able to find the
SP1 in the Start-Run- Version information.

Can I get any help?

You MUST get rid of any and all viruses before starting the update.
