I'm wanting to transfer a file to someone, using windows messenger, but I
can't seem to disable my firewall since installing SP2. I get asked if I
want to start the ICF service, but it says it can't.

How do I get this to work. I'm the administrator for this pc and it's not
on a network.

When I go into the services and find Windows firewall and try to start it,
it gives me error 5, access denied.
How can I over come this. Help please!!!

Ok ... I was able to fix it myself. I did a network setup (even though I'm
stand alone) and after selecting all the right stuff, it allowed me to
disable the firewall ... then I could go into the settings (which it
wouldn't allow before ... wierd). It's all ok now. Before SP2, I could just
disable and enable at will, but it looks like it's going to allow me the
same access now. Diana
