Hi - I just moved a harddrive that has XP Pro installed on it to a new bare bones computeri am building w/ a new motherboard and new CPU. I assumed I would be able to easily do a repair install but I cant. I have the bios set to boot from the cd first. It starts to boot from the cd-rom but never gets to the blue screen.... then it says "Windows setup is checking your hardware configuration"... then it takes a while (like 5 to 10 min) and comes back and says "Line 1937 of the INF file \I383\txtsetup.sif is Invalid. Setup cannot continue. Press any key to exit"... Does anyone know what this is all about or how to get the XP setup utlilty on the CD to start? I am at the point where I dont even care to do a repair, and would settle for a clean install but I cant even get the setup to start at all to do this!! I appreciate any advice!!!! TIA
