help- can't add title slides

Hi,
Prior to my computer crashing, when using MM, I could create nice little
title slides.
Had my computer fixed, and now my MM can only paint title slides in "paint".
Prior to this I could just insert a title wherever I wanted in MM, not have
to exit out to paint. I do not have SP2 yet. Was there a download/upgrade
that I have before that I do not have now? what happened to that easy right
click insert title functionality. Prior to PC crashing I did not have SP2.
Running XP home.
