I have a separate fax machine with a shared phone line so I don't use the XP
or Outlook fax capability. I cannot turn off some setting that never stops
sending me the follow error message:

Task 'Symantec Fax Starter Edition - Sending' reported error (0x80042109) :
'Outlook is unable to connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you
continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or
Internet service provider (ISP).'

HELP!

You may not use XP or Outlook fax capability, but it seems as if you
have installed some of it. Try posting in one of the Outlook-specific
newsgroups, e.g.,
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.outlook.general
(or, if you must use the web-based interface, look under Redesigned List
Office and Desktop Applicatons > Outlook)

Or see:

"How to troubleshoot error messages that you receive when try to send
and receive e-mail in Outlook and in Outlook Express"
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/813514/en-us

and

"Description of troubleshooting Symantec Fax Starter Edition with
Outlook 2000 with the Internet Mail Only option"
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/196272/EN-US/

and

"OL2000: (IMO) How to Remove and Reinstall Fax Starter Edition"

Thank you very much. At least I've got some additional methods to try and
sources for additional help.
Annie
