I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem playing .WMV files with
Cyberlinks PowerDVD. I have ver 5, but I also tried the newest build and it
does the same thing. I recently upgrade my video card from a 9800pro to a
X1900XT. And I was using old drivers. I'm now running the lasted drivers
from ATI/AMD's site.
What is happing is during playback the color shifts from normal to over
saturated then back to normal. It does this ever few seconds. It's a lot
like what Microvision looks like when you're trying to copy a VHS tape. I
uninstalled the drivers and ran XP's default drivers and the files played
fine. The also play fine in Windows media player with the new drivers
installed.
The only reason this matters to me is that I also have a Audigy 4 soundcard
that has a remote that will only open PowerDVD. I enjoyed using the remote
when I watch the files through my TV. Any help would be much appreciated.
TIA, JLC
