did already, any other suggestions, thanks though!
First, you replied to your own message & did not reply to the guy who
told you what to try.
So if you did that already" - you went into devices and deleted the
driver under Mouse? Then after that, you rebooted, and then Windows
XP should have said "found new device", then should have installed
it's own driver that it thought would work. So that happened? or did
you install the intellimouse driver before doing that?
If that doesn't work, make sure you have deleted any driver under
devices\mouse, then plug in an old PS2 mouse, turn on the computer,
and try one more time to install the intellimouse driver.
But of course if you've done all of that then try to use system
restore:
start\all-programs\accessories\system-tools\system-restore
& go back to a restore point before the problem/installing the new
intellimouse driver.
Just trying to get a clear picture. I've been through mouse problems
with the scroll wheel on a WIn 98 computer in the house here. I
couldn't get the scroll wheel of a basic mouse to work or even get
anything that mentioned "scroll wheel" in control-panel\mouse. I
tried about 4 different things but finally got it to work installing a
serial driver for a PS2 mouse from an oddball company.
