I'm so po'ed over several things about Vista, but the fact that neither of my
Lexmark printers will function really has me steamed.
Vista came packaged with the system I bought, so it's not like I had a choice.
Now I wish I did. It's not right that I must go out and buy yet another printer,
and an all-in-one for that matter. Is Microsoft in league with Lexmark to sell
more printers buy simply not supporting them? It sure looks that way to me. I
guarantee one thing - that my next printer will NOT be a Lexmark.
I'm still clutching to the hope that someone, (if not Microsoft or Lexmark) will
cobble drivers together for the X75 and other Lexmark all-in-one printers.
Please respond with URL, or any other info on where to get them should anyone
here come across such drivers.
I've written to Lexmark complaining about their poor support, and that they have
an obligation to provide support for their products when a new operating system
is released. I also asked them to explain why they won't., although it seems
pretty clear why not. Everyone else in this situation should do likewise, and
write them, making it clear that you will not be replacing you dysfunctional
printer with another Lexmark. Anything but them if they are going to guarantee
sales by not supporting existing hardware.
Thanks
