I want to be able to diasable Help and Support from a PC
running windows XP Professional with SP1.
I couldn't find any thing in Group Policy to lock out this
feature with the exception of removing it from the start
menu. This doen't disable help. The keyboard short-
cut "Windows Key + F1" brings up help.
I serched on line for solutions and searched the Microsoft
Knowelege Base. I cound't find any help.
Next, I removed the Windows Key function in the registry.
This prevented using the Windows Key with the Exception of
the "Windows Key + F1" brings up help.
After this I attempted to delete the HH.exe executable. I
found this was an Application file and would still execute
after I deleted it.
At this Point I attempted to use NTFS permissions to deny
the everyone group to the HH.exe file. I was still able to
launch Help and Support using the short cut. In W2000 NTFS
permisions prevented access to launching the executable
HH.exe.
Any idea?
