Help and Support

If I click Start and Help & Support, I get a box saying, Internet Explorer
cannot download /from help. The requested site is either unavailable or
cannot be found. Has anyone seen this problem?

Someone had a very similar problem on the mpwv.general forum....
I have copied the post here---->

Try the fix offered at this site:

Fix Windows Vista Help and Support
http://www.windows-now.com/blogs/kmkenney/archive/2006/11/25/fix-windows-vista-help-and-support.aspx

It re-associates the .xml file type to its default settings. A recent
installation of a program may have "stolen" the .xml association.

Hello everyone. I've installed some new software and my Help and Support
app
will not start up anymore. I'm sure it has to do with the new installs
(Macromedia Suite, Adobe Suite, Autocad, Chief Architect, no bogus
software)

When I try to start up Help and Support I get an error message saying:

[Window Title]
Windows Internet Explorer

[Content]
Internet Explorer cannot download / from help.

Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested
site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later.

[OK]

Underneath it is a download dialog trying to download something.

Any suggestions on a fix? I'm pretty sure it has to do with the installs
but
does anyone have a workaround because I need to use these apps.

Thank you!

Dreamweaver installed, by chance? If so, see the following TechNote from Adobe:

Vista help system stops working when Dreamweaver is the default XML editor:
