I just got a new computer with Windows XP Pro installed. I clicked on start
and looked for 'Help & Support' and it is not there with 'search' and 'run'.
Went to properties, to advanced and there is no Help and Support to check to
make it appear there. How do I fix this?

I did that and Help and support is not listed in Start Menu Items on the new
computer.

you might try to go
to admin tools, then
services.

there, you will find a
number of services.

right click on the help
and support for the
properties.

then enable the automatic
option and also click start,
then close and retry your
query.

--------------

incidentally, if you are new
to the area of services, do
not modify any of them
unless you experience a
problem in the future, similarly
to the one you have just
experienced.

I have Help and support on my machine. It is set in services as automatic
and it is started. However, I just do not have the link to Help and Support
on my start menu window where I am used to having it, by 'search' and 'run'.
I can get to it if I go to help on any open window but have been used to
accessing it when I need help from the start menu. I just tried and can
access it from the desktop with the F1 button. Was not aware of that
function.
