I have Win 'Xp Professional installed including SP2. when
i click on Help and Support I get an hourglass for say 20
seconds and then nothing happens.
I tried going back to thw Windows install CD to see if
somehome Help and Support was not installed, but because
I have now installed SP2 the CD can no longer be used.
any advice would be appreciated.

Tried all suggestions but nothing works. Error messages
include: Cannot find helpctr.exe, Cannot find
SFC/Scannow, Cannot find hhwindows.chm, Cannot
find 'helpctr'.

Further information:

I am able to access Help and Support by going to the
Start/Search section. Now that I know Help and Support is
installed, I just need to know how to link it back to the
basic Help and Support link.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

I'd try 3 things in this order.

1) Right click the start menu>Properties>Start Menu>Customize>Advanced>Make
sure a check is in Help and Support.

2) You can right click drag this file to the start menu. See if that works.

3) This should fix it: Go to http://www.dougknox.com/ Doug Konx's XP Site.
On the list on the left Click Win XP Fixes. Then select Fix Windows XP
Help Item #7 left.

I wanted you to see some of the features and Doug's site has, but you can
access this directly at
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts_desc/fixwinxphelp.htm

This is contexted as restoring it after Easy Cleaner removes it, but I
believe that the vbs will restore it for you.
