help and support feature

Ever time I turn around this stupid help and support
window is in my face telling me I need to go update my dvd
software or something...I have gone into admin tools under
services and disabled help and support several times, but
much like any other MS foot fungus, it keeps coming back!
How do I rid myself of this usless service once and for
all??
 
This is wrong news group: microsoft.public.windowsxp.general would be
appropriate.
 
Well, I sorta figured since this element was indeed and
embedded part of windows XP, since it's not something I
chose to install I would find some help here. Guess not

while your reasoning is sound this is not the correct group, this is
about the embedded version of xp not things embedded in xp pro/home
 
Well you could probably get answer here, but this NG is dealing with Windows
XP Embedded (this is not Windows XP Home / Professional operating system).

But if we're not talking about thing embedded within XP,
but rather XP embedded (or whatever) then what is XP
embedded into?
 
Not that interested in MS to dig that deep.

Ever since posting to this forum, for some unknown reason
I have been getting lambasted with e-mails
from "microsoft"...yeah, right loaded with
viruses...trouble is I use up-to-date antivirus software
that nails it dead before it even gets past my e-mail
server. So I hate to burst someones bubble, but youre
barking up the wrong tree.

I sit behind a hardware firewall with up-to-date firmware,
and ZA Pro, along with my virus protection...so go find
another target, sorry.
