I have been using Outlook from Office 2K and all of a sudden when I try to
get to it I get "Microsoft Program has encountered a problem....." and I
can't get the program to execute. I have tried system restore, reinstalling,
repair, run virus scans ...you name it nothing works. I also have Outlook
Express running and that's OK. I am running XP Pro. Does any one have any
idea how I can save my mail logs and address book if I delete the current
version and do a fresh install?

Have you tried running the install disk and doind a repair or reinstall?
That should work and you wont lose any of your email. As far as backing up
your email and folders, if you have previously created a .PST file, you can
copy that as a backup. If you are in a corporate environment, your sysadmin
should have this all set up for you. If you are a ghome user and if you
havent then once your Outlook is back running, export your setttings to a
..PST file and copy it to a CD or another drive.

Just in case, here's how: In Outlook, goto File / Import and Export. Select
Export to a File. Select Personl Folder File (.pst).
Highlight Personal Folders and check the Include Subfolders box. Next select
a location to export this to, click Finish.
The default name is "Backup.pst"
