We have a Windows 2000 AD Server, and win 98 and Win XP clients.

We have had problems with our network, it was a DNS issue. Got that problem
resolved, but in trying to resolve it, we caused another problem and do not
know how to resolve it. We are not sure what we did to cause the error.

When we try access My Network Places, Entire Network, and click on the
Domain, on the DOMAIN CONTROLLER, not a workstation, we
get this message:

Domain is not accessible

The account is not authorized to log in from this station

We are afraid to restart the server, because we are not sure what this
message means!

Thank you for your help in advance!

Firstly,

What was the DNS issue that you had and solved? When
running ADS, DNS is probably the cause of most issues.

Can you access computers within your domain using their
UNC? If not, can you access them using the IP instead of
the host name in the UNC? e.g. \\192.168.1.10\shareName

If you can access resources, but can't browse the network
places check the NetBT settings and the browser service.

And have a look at this:

Hope this helps,

Paul.
