Hey everyone, here's yet another newbie. Anyway, I'm thinking about building my own PC sometime in the next 2 years and I figured I start data gathering now. For example, I have to figure out what the parts do, etc. I'll be brushing up on the forums here and elsewhere, but any general/specific advice is welcome. Thanks.

If its gonna take you 2 years most of the components you are asking information about now will be well out of date...

I know. However, it doesn't look as if I'll have to money to seriously start building until anywhere from 3 to 6 months from now. However, I figure that by jumping in now I can factor in any new developments during that time frame. Besides, when it comes right down to it, I just need to learn about the market.
