I get these attacks constantly. My virus protection repells it but then I
get pop ups saying it was detected on my machine. It seems to try through
windows messenger. I've tried changing my settings and not allowing windows
messenger to work. I'd truely appreciate any suggestions. These pop up
irritate me and I'm never sure if I have a problem or not.
If there is a reply can I ask you for specific directions. I'm relatively
computer illiterate!!!! What I know is as basic as it gets. Thankyou
kindly, Tina

If you are connected to the Internet via Broadband then get a Cable/DSL Router such as the
Linksys BEFSR41. It will see this activity, not the PCs on the LAN side of teh Router.

I downloaded spybot from the add. you gave. When I tried to install it said
the setup files were corrupt. (I have dial up...live in boo foo no where. No
other options)

Please visit the Comprehensive Malware Removal Instructions on the Detailed
Malware Removal page of my website: www.stopmalware.tk to clean your
computer of all malware. Then follow up by reading through ALL of the tips
on the safety tips page to prevent moderate-serious malware infection again.

P.S. David, I've linked you're multi_av tool to the appropriate website you
gave and used the exact instructions that you've posted before with posts
regarding your multi_av tool.

Tina:

Please don't construe the URLs in my signature as being a direct answer for your problem.
That was in the body of my reply, not the signature. While I do suggest you view the URLs
and follow them, SpyBot S&D is NOT a solution for your problem but a scan with Ad-aware SE
or SpyBot S&D wouldn't hurt.
