I'm a newbie to the newsgroups and I hope I'm addressing this question to
the proper group!

I downloaded and installed TimerShot.exe (a webcam tool from PowerToys)
and I am unable to select my webcam under the {Device} selection. My web
cam is a Creative Webcam Pro and I am using WinXP Pro. I should add that
the webcam works perfectly otherwise. I've posted this question before and
did not get a response but still need help. Can someone help me or tell me
that
it can't be done for whatever reason(s).

Does any one know the name of other program that would do a similar
function?

Gill

Have you tried un-installing TimerShot, Rebooting and then plugging in your
Cam to see if XP will install its own driver?

Have you gone to Creative's site to see if they have anything listed about this
hardware? Updated drver etc?
: Thans for responding. Yeap, I even removed it, done a scandisk, defrag, re-
: install WinXP Pro to no avail. Maybe someone on this NG knows of another
: freeware which will do the same thing.
