Hello. I have a system running Windows XP and when I boot up, it will
post normally, then go to the screen telling me that Windows did not
start normally due to a recent software/hardware change. The Windows
logo appears and instead of the "Welcome" screen I usually see before my
Desktop, the screen just goes back and stays that way. Would
reinstalling Windows be the only solution? Please reply.

hit F8 while booting
and you will have an option to choose your last good startup


if you cannot get the problem fixed
you can perform a repair installation
which will hopefully fix the problem but not be as drastic
as a total reinstall
