Heatsink glue (for VGA or any chipset cooling)

I picked up a GeForce2 MX card at a local computer show. The card came
without a heatsink on the GeForce2 chip, however, and I'd like to attach
one. I have a small heatsink/fan unit for VGA chipsets, but I can't use it
because the two pushpins don't line up with the two holes on the video card.
I'd prefer not to use a heatsink/fan combo, anyhow; the GF2MX doesn't
require a fan, only a heatsink, and the card will not be overclocked.

The problem is that I don't know how to attach just a heatsink. What sort of
glue do I use? I guess I'm looking for something like the gunk that Intel
used (back in the day) to attach the heatsink to its retail-boxed version of
its Pentium CPUs. It appeared to be some sort of epoxy-like stuff that also
had thermally conductive properties.

Can anyone recommend a glue for attaching heatsinks to chips?

Why? The GF2MX doesn't need one and it'll only create more noise.

This heatsink has a hamster in a running wheel built in, dispersing the
heat. It creates quite a bit of noise depending on what you feed the
hamster, and the occasional turd.

A heatsink cause noise? its not a fan

Sorry, daftness due to the plethora of HS&F posts.
