Hearts was a standard game on Windows98, but not
apparently W2K. I've followed the windows help
instructions for getting games from the w2k cd (i.e.
add/remove components) but it does not find any games. Is
Hearts available in W2K - if so How do I get it?

Although this is not exactly what you requested, you can still play Hearts
on Microsoft's Internet Gaming Zone (the 'Zone') at
http://zone.msn.com/en/hearts/

You can play against computers (bots), other human players in a friendly
environment, or choose to compete for ratings or perhaps in tournaments.

I've been wondering the same thing. I've tried two
different versions of mshearts and every networking config
change I could think of and still can't get the program to
connect to my other computers. I hope someone posts an
answer here for you, as I'd like to play over my home
network with my kids again. Good luck to us both.

BTW, if you just want to play against the computer, you
can copy mshearts.exe and cards.dll from a Win98 system
(windows directory) to your Win2K system and it will run
fine. You just can't connect to other games accross the
network.

Just copy the .exe file from your other machine, win 98?
and thats all
