Headphones on CD-ROM

I activated the analog playback option in Windows Media Player and my headphone jack still does not work. Is there anything else I can try?
 
Sorry if i've joined halfway through a conversation... There should be a
cable running from the Sound card on you PC to the back of the CDrom drive.
If you don't have one, you can buy them. They're not expensive at all, less
that £2 (that's $1.50ish)
