Headphone sounds

Vista Bus, updated, onboard sound, all devices working
Headphones work fine for win sys sounds, but not WMP or any other media
Am I missing a setting somewhere?
 
Allready tried that
I'm not at that sys right now, but do recollect, when going though the
various speaker Icon rt click options, a device window that showed for the
speakers, applications (configured?) Win Sounds & WMP, whereas the
Headphones only named Win Sounds under Apps
