Hi, when using my headphones I can hear myself echoing a
few seconds later.
Please help, I have no idea how this happened as they
used to work.
Thanks,
Kathy.

Kathy,
When you hear yourself speaking (echo), the problem is your voice
emitting from the speakers at the far end, being picked up by the
microphone at the far end and then transmitting back to your
speakers/headphones.
The ideal is for you and the distant user to use headphones. However,
the later versions of Messenger (Windows and MSN) have a form echo
suppression.
In the Audio Tuning Wizard you will find a box which states you are
using headphone. If you un-check this box the echo suppression will
be enabled on your computer.
However, to stop you hearing yourself you must get the distant user to
enable their echo suppression because as I said before the echo you
hear derives from the distant end.
