Hi Jim

amazing your question is word for word the same as Remi's "Where can i get
answers to these questions?" post earlier today (Q9 to be exact), so
assuming i'm not doing anyone's homework for them

there are two options -
1) use the option under file / page set up / layout tab to specify that you
want a different header / footer on page one
or
2) insert a section break, unlink the sections while in view / header &
footer and then do what you like to the individual sections.

Cheers

On the Layout tab of Page Setup, check the box for "Different first page."
You'll now have a Header and a First Page Header. You will need to cut your
present header information from the Header and paste it into the First Page
Header.
