The Catalyst Control Center is not supported by the driver version of your
enabled graphics adapter. Please update your ATI graphics driver, or enable
your ATI adapter using the Displays Manager.

I do not want to download the latest version.
Had this problem before and dell tech helped me. My hard drive failed and
had to get a new one. Now I'm back at the same problem but no dell tech
support. What can I do?

Download the latest version or live with it.

Are the ATI Catalyst and ATI Driver items listed separately in the
Add/Remove Programs applet? If so, just uninstall the Catalyst
ancilliary program. You can't use it if you continue using an
incompatible old driver version.

You don't need CCC unless you want to overclock your card or screw with
settings. Go to AMD's site and d/l the latest driver only. Not the
package. If you scroll down the page it gives you the option to d/l just
the driver. Don't run it. Uninstall your current driver package, reboot,
then install the new driver.

This is exactly why I will never own another ATI product.
Their hardware is garbage, their drivers even worse, and their support is
non-existent.

Not a very kind response. Are you a twelve year old with the mind of a
six year old?

Let's see now, you post a question then you say you want to ignore what
was told to you?

You must be an IDIOT.

Well, if it isn't Frank, off your meds again I see.
I thought somebody would have killed you by now.

Maybe you should turn yourself into the authorities and have yourself
committed before acting out on your impulses, RETARD.

And that he most certainly is.

I've heard people say ATI video card performance is superior to nVidia,
though nVidia cards own the market because they have better support and
compatibility, so only "hardcore gamers" who want to deal with the driver
problems bother to use ATI.

The games I run must not be intense enough, since they always say these
monster video cards are for "hardcore gamers" and the video support on the
motherboard is sufficient for all my games.

If your PC needs a special tweak where the normal fix for a problem is not a
viable solution, you might want to take some notes when tech support tells
you how to fix it. Always expect to have to reinstall everything, plan for
a full format sooner or later. If you're lucky and take good care of your
system there's a good chance you'll never need it, but if you're smart you
hope for the best and plan for the worst.

There are several trolls and nymshifters around here who sit at their
computer in their bedroom at Mom's house and troll the groups with
their grade school mentality and attitude.

Bingo - That's you, IDIOT.
