Has anyone solve the issue with the cable and hdtv records stuttering.
I read the cause may be the audigy2 card.
Is there a workaround for this?

Not sure what you mean by stuttering. By record do you mean the TvOd thats
alway on or acutally recording. In DTV If I use the digital sound the
picture pauses for like 1/4 second evey 2 seconds. This usuallly starts
immediately but has worked ok for as long as 25 minutes. Using 2 speaker
mode works ok except after using TV. If I use TV first, DTV will randomly
pause. Reboot is the only cure. TV player is working fine.

Just found this on the Rage3d site:
DTV - Audio cuts out when using Cyberlink Audio Renderer Passthrough Option
(for 6 channel audio) >with audigy 2 zs drivers dated
6/23/2004,2/23/2004,and 10/21/2003 with dx sound acceleration at full.
(Dx sound acceleration turned down two notches fixes the problem)
*Audigy 2 zs driver from 7/10/2003 work fine with dx sound acceleration at
high using Cyberlink Audio >Renderer Passthrough Option.(6 channel mode)
Easily produced by switching audigy 2 zs drivers.

I only have an Audigy2 not the zs. It seems to have affected my problem. Not
receiving any HD now will have to check again tonight. Changing settings
with a program running probaly not a good idea.

On both records for DTV & TV the record will pause every few seconds while
viewing as there record is occurring and during the record playback as well.
I have the regular Audigy 2 card as well.

I moved the DX sound acceleration back like in the info above. Night before
last it worked ok for about 3 hours. I was watching it time shifted after
about 2 hours. When it got to about the 3 hour mark it started having a
quick pause about once a second. When that show was over the next show was
broadcast as an SD picture in the HD window. After about 10 minutes it quit
pausing.

Last night their wasn't much HD on and it worked fine except DTV was still
pausing after running TV. Had to reboot to cure it.

If your having a problem with TV its probably something else. Here's some
things to try. Lower the capture quality in TV(I use SVCD), defrag the hard
drive, disable network card, minimize the number of programs loading at
startup, don't run any other applications and turn off any unneeded
services. BlackViper.com has a list of services that can be turned off. IRQ
sharing could also be a problem.

Or it may be an installation problem I've been using the Audigy2 and an AIW
for months without performance problems. The only problems I've had with the
DTV pausing are after running TV and when using the Cyberlink Audio
Renderer Passthrough. It works fine in 2 speaker mode.

A lot of info here:
